While Charles Barkley’s golf game has often been ridiculous, renowned basketball had a sweet revenge during the first round of the American championship of the century.

On the second hole by 4, Barkley helped an incredible Fairway shot. Barkley’s shooting – which was 88 meters from the hole – struck the back of the green before turning back and falling into the bottom of the cup.

The front-nine of Barkley also included a birdie on the seventh hole per-3. He finished his T24 round on 90 participants.

“The crowd became crazy. It was incredible. It was a great day,” Barkley told NBC Sports. “I have so much fun. I worked so hard on my game. … I’m really happy today. Extremely happy.”

Barkley, 62, entered the tournament with the longest chances of winning at 7,500-1. His 58th place at this event a year ago is a better.

The legend of Hoops Stephen Curry had a lot of chance of winning the tournament. Curry, the 2023 champion and the double champion Marty Fish both had ratings of +240 to win this year’s event. With Barkley and Curry, the three-day event also includes the participants Travis and Jason Kelce, the current NFL Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence, the receiver of the renowned temple Jerry Rice, the launcher of the Hall of Fame John Smoltz, the old quarter of Cowboys and the NFL Romo and the World Golf Hall of the NFL.
