West Indies vs Australia: Mitchell Starc in fastest five-wicket haul as Windies slump to their worst-ever Test innings | Cricket News
Mitchell Starc took the transport of five fastest gates in the history of the test match while Australia obtained a clear sweep during its third test against a sad West Indies, which was dismissed for 27 in the second round – the score of the second lowest rounds in history.
Starc removed John Campbell, Kevlon Anderson, Brandon King, Mikyle Louis and Shai Hope in 15 balls before tea, only abandoning two points in the process.
His LBW against Louis also mentioned his 400th test window, which only makes the fourth Australian to achieve the feat, in his 100th test match. Starc then returned to take his sixth window after tea to win a 176 -point victory.
The hosts set a target of 204 to win, dropped at 0-3 in the opening on and only avoided the worst total test sleeves.
To tea, they were 22-6 before Scott Boland took a hat-trick to set up the conclusion of Starc.
New Zealand still holds the unwanted record of all time with 26 against England in 1955, while the lowest total of Windues until Monday was 47 in their second round of the first test against England in 2004.
The best transport of five previous counters was from the Starc compatriot, Ernie Toshack, who took five counters in 19 balls against India in 1947.
